Wendigo
Wendigo (tiež známy ako Windigo, Windago, Witiko, Wihtikow a mnoho iných) je mýtická bytosť, ktorá sa objavuje v mytológií severoamerických indiánov. Je to zlovoľný kanibalistický duch, na ktorého sa mohol človek premeniť. Každý, čo sa oddával kanibalizmu bol v riziku a táto legenda oslabila jeho praktizovanie.
Wendigo psychóza-ochorenie, ktoré sa prejavuje intenzívnou chuťou na ľudské mäso, aj keď iné zdroje potravy boli ľahko dostupné (často ako následok predchádzajúceho kanibalizmu počas hladomoru).
